After dealing with many Houdini Craigslist sellers. I've decided to up the "flipping" game. I have better things to do than chase down sellers.
I've found a "bad motor" 2000 Grand Cherokee Limited at a local car lot. It's in amazing shape overall with 158k on the clock.
It's a 4.7 and it is truly bad. Really bad. So bad that I'm starting to believe the "If it's a Mopar and ends in .7 it's no good" stories that all the locals chirp about. However, I can't believe it because that would mean the 5.7 Hemi and 225 (3.7) Slant Six are crap.
Anyway, to make a long story short.
I may be able to get it for $900. I have a line on a used 4.7 with a 90 day warranty for $750.
If I can make it happen there's still a little profit, If you keep in mind that my labor is a write off.
I have a 3 day cool off when I look at dealer cars. If I get it I'll do a walkaround on Friday.
If I don't get it.. More Craigslisting.
Ugh..

I like browsing the Hemmings classifieds more than CL. The posts are more expensive, but there is no bullshit like on CL
